When the man in your life is troubled, fearful, anxious, or vulnerable, do you get uncomfortable, resentful, or perceive his feelings as weak and less than "manly?"
Turns out, men fall in love at a faster rate than women and rely on the woman or partner for emotional safety and transparency. Often, men only disclose their real feelings with the woman or partner in their lives.
Men and women need to feel affirmed by their partner; to feel safe and protected. In our cultural complex, however, the man is expected to be the protector and anything less is often misinterpreted and rejected.
